Club History

Club meetings are the third Saturday of the month at 10:00 hours. We assemble in the community room inside fire station 202. Talk-in is on the 147.6450 repeater (PL 127.3 minus offset).

Fire station 202 is located at 1700 N. Riverside Avenue. Cross streets are Riverside Avenue and Walnut Avenue. Just below the 210 freeway, Riverside Avenue exit.

Testing is now held at station 202. Talk-in is on the 147.6450 repeater (PL 127.3 minus offset).

Many of our members are active in the community, other disaster organizations, clubs, or teach amateur radio classes and are ARRL VE's (Volunteer Examiners). Our interests go from "ragchewing" (talking) on simplex or HF (operating on low bands), to DX (worldwide distance communications), repeaters, or Radio Control of model planes, amateur television, Echolink (VOIP), and many more thngs that amateur radio has to offer.

San Bernardino County ECS, SATERN, ARRL VE, MARC, CERT, Mountain ECS/CERT

Rialto Unified School District ARC, Robotics, NASA, Satelite communications.

We offer EmComm, Emergency Communications, to our community, we train for the "Big One". Many of our members are also CERT , Community Emergency Response Team, members. We do ride alongs with the Rialto Fire Department, to give us first hand experience of the normal routine as well as rescue. More importantly the time we put into rida alongs begins the team building between fire department personnel and volunteers.
